Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

This site currently sets no cookies at all. Its traffic measurement is cookieless, and it saves two preferences in your browser's local storage so the calculators behave the way you left them.

What is stored right now

Local storage works like a cookie in that it saves something on your device, but unlike a cookie it isn't sent to a server with every request. These two values never leave your browser. To clear them, clear this site's data in your browser settings.

What isn't here

  • No advertising cookies
  • No analytics or measurement cookies, and no Google Analytics
  • No cookies from the site's own traffic measurement, which is cookieless
  • No social media pixels or embedded trackers
  • No cross-site tracking of any kind

When that changes

Advertising is planned for this site. When ads are added:

  • This page will list the new cookies, what they do, and how long they last, updated from what a cookie scan of the live site actually finds rather than a generic list.
  • A consent banner will run on the site. Consent choices, including which categories you allow and how to change your mind later, are handled through that banner rather than described again here.
  • In regions that require it, including the EU, UK, and Switzerland, non-essential cookies are blocked until you accept them. Essential items, like the two preferences above, don't need consent because the site can't work as intended without them.

The banner will run on Consently, a consent management platform certified for Google Consent Mode v2 and IAB TCF. It logs consent choices so there's a record of what was agreed and when.

How traffic is measured

Visitor numbers come from Umami, an open-source analytics tool running on our own server. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so there is nothing here for you to consent to or clear. It records anonymous, aggregated figures only, such as page views, country, device type, and referring site. See the privacy policy for more.

Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data in its settings. Blocking them won't break these calculators: the site will simply forget your theme and salt preference between visits.
